Your Gift Makes a Difference!
The Stevenson Fund supports the operating budget of the school with annual unrestricted gifts. While 90% of the annual budget comes from tuition, the balance is reached through annual gifts and interest from the endowment. Annual giving is a vital component of Stevenson’s $27 million operating budget, raising $1,110,362 (approximately 4% of the budget) in 2011-2012. The goals for 2012-2013 are $1,330,000 and 10% participation from alumni and 65% participation from parents.
Annual Giving strengthens and sustains the extraordinary Stevenson School education. Each year, the school relies on annual contributions to provide critical support to the operating budget by offsetting expenses not covered by tuition. These gifts have an immediate and direct benefit to each student and faculty member, as well as to the quality and range of all school programming.
The Annual Giving Family of Funds allows donors to direct donations to specific program areas. This includes directing your gift to faculty, financial aid, athletics, fine arts, or the area of greatest need. By steering your philanthropic contributions to the programs of your personal interest, you can support specific areas of need and see tangible accomplishments of your donations. The funds described represent the most fundamental elements of the school program. We invite you to join in to assure the highest quality of virtually every aspect of a Stevenson education.
All gifts to Annual Giving are recognized in the Annual Report. If you are an alumnus and a parent, you will be listed with your graduating class as well as under your children’s class year(s). Additionally, all annual gifts are recognized in Giving Levels. Giving Circles are listed below. Leadership Giving begins with the Patron’s Circle.

- Founder’s Circle (gifts of $25,000 and above)
- Stevenson Circle (gifts of $10,000 to $24,999)
- President’s Circle (gifts of $5,000 to $9,999)
- Sponsor’s Circle (gifts of $2,500 to $4,999)
- Patron’s Circle (gifts of $1,000 to $2,499)
