Applying for Financial Aid
To receive an application for financial aid you must first submit an application or preliminary application to Stevenson. You can notify us by marking the box requesting information on aid on the preliminary or online application, or you may call us at 831-625-8309. You can also apply for financial aid online through the School and Student Services (SSS) website. Click here to apply online. Financial aid is offered to students in grades ECC - 12.
- The Financial Aid Committee reviews the recommendations of the School and Student Service, your tax return, and other requested information. Decision notification for all financial aid applications completed by the deadline is on or around March 10.
- Stevenson has a limited availability of financial aid funding. Families submitting late or incomplete applications risk not receiving aid.
- Stevenson School admits qualified students and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, national or ethnic background.
Financial Aid Deadlines
Following are the steps you should take to apply for financial aid:Due February 1:
The Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) should be submitted to the School and Student Service (SSS) on or before February 1 (with the necessary fee to SSS included). You may estimate tax information if exact numbers are not known. The Financial Aid Office will make corrections by referring your IRS Form 1040 once it has been received.
A copy of the PFS must also be sent to Stevenson’s Financial Aid Office.
Due February 25:A signed IRS Form 4506 should be mailed to the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Committee will not review applications without this signed form in hand. No Fee is necessary with this form.
Both custodial and non custodial parents must submit a signed copy of their current year IRS Form 1040, all W-2 forms, and all schedules and statements to the Financial Aid Office.
Both custodial and non custodial parents must submit a signed copy of last year's IRS Form 1040, all W-2 forms, and all schedules and statements to the Financial Aid Office. Returning families who have previously applied for aid do not need to resubmit the previous year’s taxes as we have them on file.
