Athletics
The Lower and Middle School athletics program is divided into two programs that support each other year round: our Physical Education Program and our After-School Sports Program. Both programs aim to promote lifetime health and fitness, to provide students with the opportunity to develop positive self image and social skills, and the opportunity to participate in group activities that are structured according to age and ability. Both programs also emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, social interaction, and they learn to follow and play by the rules.
Our school competes with other independent and public schools in a competitive sports league. These schools include: All Saints', Santa Catalina, Junipero Serra, San Carlos, Chartwell, Pacific Grove Middle School, and Carmel Middle School. Competitive sports include soccer, flag-football, basketball, golf, and tennis. The competitive sports program is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Students in grades six through eight are eligible to particpate.
