Vacation Travel Planning

Stevenson has three major breaks during the school year when the Pebble Beach Campus is closed and all students are required to leave campus. In addition, there are two long weekend breaks when residence halls remain open. This information has been updated for the academic year 2012-13.

Opening of School

• New resident students arrive on campus.

• First day of classes 

Parents Weekend

• No classes. Residence halls remain open.

• Classes resume at 8 am.

Thanksgiving Break

• Fall term exams end at 3 pm. Students may not depart before last exam.
• Residence halls close at 9 pm. Students who are unable to travel on Friday may spend Friday night on campus with permission from the Dean of Students office. These students MUST leave the dorms by Saturday, November 17, at 10 am.
• Shuttle bus departs to San Francisco and San Jose airports:
  
  • Friday, November 16, at 3:30 pm
    
  • Saturday, November 17, at 6:30 am

• Residence halls reopen at 12 noon.
  
• Resident students return to campus by 7 pm.

• Classes resume at 8 am.

Winter Break

• Winter Break starts at 3 pm.
• Residence halls close at 5 pm. All resident students must leave campus no later than 5 pm.
• Departure earlier in the day is permitted. Requests for early departure must be made through the Dean of Students office.
• Shuttle bus departs to San Francisco and San Jose airports:
  • Friday, December 21, at 3:30 pm

• Residence halls reopen at 12 noon.  Resident students may return to campus any time after noon.
  
• Resident students return to campus by 7 pm.

• Classes resume at 8 am.

Spring Break

• Winter term exams end at 3 pm. Students may not depart before last exam.
• Residence halls close at 9 pm.
• Students who are unable to travel on Thursday or are involved in the Wilderness Expedition or Northeast College Tour may spend Thursday night on campus with permission from the Dean of Students office.
• The students MUST leave the dorms by Friday, February 22, at 12 noon.
• Shuttle bus departs to San Francisco and San Jose airports:
  • Thursday, February 21, at 3:30 pm
    
  • Friday, February 22, at 6:00 am
    

• Residence halls reopen at 12 noon. 
• Resident students return to campus by 7 pm.

• Classes resume at 8 am.

Spring Long Weekend

• No classes. Residence halls remain open.

• Classes resume at 8 am.

Summer Vacation

Sunday, May 26
(Seniors - Grade 12)

• Seniors must check out of the dorms by 5:00 pm and should not expect to spend any nights on campus after their graduation ceremony.

Thursday, May 30
(Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors - Grades 9-11)

• Students will be finished with exams by 11:00 am and are permitted to leave once they have completed the proper check-out procedure.
  
• The campus closes at 5:00 pm. Students are not permitted to stay on campus at night.
• If a student finishes his or her exams prior to Thursday, then they are permitted to leave earlier provided that each student completes the proper check-out procedure.
• There will not be any school-sponsored shuttles to airports at the end of the year. Please visit www.montereyairbus.com to make reservations for end of the year transportation to major airports.
