Advanced Placement

Stevenson offers 20 Advanced Placement (AP) courses to challenge even the strongest of students. AP courses are distinguished in that they prepare students to take a national standardized exam in May.  Stevenson's performance on the AP exams is quite exceptional. The exams are graded on a scale of one to five, with a three, four, or five being a passing grade, and thus eligible for college credit. In 2008, 202 of our students took AP exams. Of the 387 exams they took 90% received passing grades. You can learn more about the AP Program at the College Board's website
